GCSE similar to O levels (General Certificate of Secondary Education)

GCSE is a nationally recognised qualification. It is the main examination taken by British students to complete the first stage of secondary or high school education. Bellerbys College offers pre-GCSE courses and 3 and 4 term intensive GCSE programmes.

A Level (Advanced Level)

‘Advanced Levels’ are UK public university entrance examinations and are recognised worldwide. Success at A Level allows you to choose the right university and degree from any UK university.

Bellerbys A Level students consistently achieve more impressive results than the British average. In 2012, 57% of all A Levels taken by Bellerbys students were graded A* or A, compared to just half that figure across the whole of UK.

Bellerbys offers 5 or 6 terms programs starting in Sep 14, Jan 15 or Apr 2015 (and finish in June 2016) are internationally recognised examinations and the traditional entry qualifications to all British universities. In this way, student may be 1 year ahead of the peers studying in Singapore

Bellerbys can provide you with specialist OxBridge preparation, which may include:

• Regular formal discussions about current affairs, news and events to develop cultural enrichment and communication skills
• Continuous assessment of work progress in homework, tests and examinations to maintain required standards
• Preparation for university face-to-face interviews, which includes the opportunity to discuss interview techniques and meet former Bellerbys students now at Oxford or Cambridge
• Weekly ‘Insights Into Western Philosophy’ seminars
• Additional classes in Maths, Economics and Physics for students applying for these subjects and who may have to take a STEP (Sixth Term Examination Paper) or the AEA (Advanced Extension Award).

• Preparation for the UKCAT and BMAT medical entry tests

Students applying to read Medicine also have weekly meetings where they can study the college guide to applying for Medicine, give talks on topical issues in Medicine, arrange to undertake voluntary work in hospitals, clinics or old people’s homes and report back to the group on their experiences, and discuss the kind of questions asked at interview

Undergraduate Year 1 (Business and Management Programme)

This three term course, validated by the University of Sussex, is equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree and provides direct entry to the second year study at a selection of UK university.

The Undergraduate Year 1 available at Bellerbys College is equivalent to the first year of a British university degree. After a 3 terms course of intensive study in small tutorial and seminar groups, successful students are eligible to apply for a place on the second year of a UK degree programme at selected universities.

Bellerbys College Brighton

The College is located in Brighton & Hove on the south coast of England, often known as "London by the sea".
