There is also a direct main line rail service from London Paddington to Swansea High Street Station. Swansea is less than three hours away from London by train, and an hour from Cardiff by car.

Swansea is a bustling city of 230,000 people. There is an array of pubs, clubs and bars to choose from on Swansea's famous Wind Street.

For leisure and entertainment, there is the Oceana, a 6 million pound leisure complex, and the LC2, which houses the Boardrider, the world's first deep water standing wave machine. Movie enthusiasts will also be delighted to know that Swansea has a 12 screen Vue cinema and the Odeon Cinema complex, which is also home to a ten-pin bowling alley.

Swansea has a beautiful coastal scenery. Close by is the Gower Peninsula, Britain's first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Three Swansea Bay beaches were named in Times Top 50m beaches and Swansea was deemed the cleanest city in Wales and the second cleanest in the United Kingdom by the Clean Britain Awards 2009. The un-spoilt beaches are a popular choice for water-sports, cycling and walking.
