Foothill and De Anza Colleges are public institutions accredited by Western Association of Schools and College (WASC) and other professional accreditation agencies. Educational institutions such as the California State University and University of California systems, Santa Clara University, Stanford University and other accredited colleges and universities also give full credit for equivalent courses taken at Foothill and De Anza Colleges.

  • Exceptional transfer rate.De Anza consistently ranks #1 or #2 in the state for the total number of students who annually transfer to UC and CSU campuses.
  • Top Animation Program. De Anza Animation Program was listed as one of the top 15 classic-degreed animation programs on the country, according to Animation Magazine. Also ranked in the same list were programs at New York University, UCLA and USC.
  • Top athletes. De Anza's 19 men's and women's intercollegiate teams have done so well in Staff Qualifications Coast conference competition that they earned the Bud Ottmar Award for 11 consecutive years.
  • Strong record of Student Success.Many Foothill College's International students who complete 1st 2 years at Foothill successfully transfer to their third year (as juniors) at one of the world-class universities in California.


De Anza College Location

Located 45 miles south of San Francisco, De Anza College occupies a 112-acre site in Cupertino in the heart of Silicon Valley. Cupertino is also home to Apple, Compaq, Sun, Hewlett-Packard, and many other high-technology firms.

Nestled near the base of the Santa Cruz Mountains, the college was named after Spanish explorer Juan Bautista de Anza. The college is one of the largest, single-campus community colleges in the country with a fall enrollment averaging 25,000 students.

Foothill College Location

Foothill College is located 40 miles south of San Francisco and 15 miles north of San Jose in the safe community of Los Altos Hills. It is in the heart of the Silicon Valley and offers a wide variety of recreational opportunities and cultural attractions. Foothill College Campus is located on 122 acres. The American Institute of Architects has twice honored Foothill for its outstanding design, and the San Francisco Chronicle newspaper called it "the most beautiful community college ever built."
