The University of Plymouth is a modern, dynamic university yet with an educational history dating as far back as 1862. It is one of the UK’s largest and most prominent institutions, currently rated one of the ‘Top 10 Modern UK Universities’ (Times Higher Education Young University Rankings 2019). Their student body represents over 100 nations, and it boasts numerous and varied academic partnerships and research links globally, meaning a degree studied with the University of Plymouth is a truly international one. The university has quality teaching and research levels, with in the most recent (as of 2019) Research Excellence Framework ranking more than two thirds of their research as World Leading or Internationally Excellent.
The University constantly reviews and improves upon its facilities and buildings which include a modern library (open 24/7), extra computing and learning resource facilities, new Marine Station, fitness/sports centre, The House Performing Arts Centre, the Health and Wellbeing Centre and extra teaching space. Additionally, the campus has its own cinema, performance theatres, studios and art gallery, as well as many cafes and bars. Furthermore, the University of Plymouth students can enjoy free access to the Olympic sized swimming pool at the Life Centre.

The City of Plymouth
The city of Plymouth is located in the beautiful south west of UK between Dartmoor National Park and the sea and is the largest city in the region. Plymouth is a historic city with a population of 235,000 and the largest royal naval base in the UK. There are many shops, restaurants and attractions in the city like the Crownhill Fort, National Marine Aquarium, Tinside Lido, Plymouth Gin Distillery, the historic Barbican area and Plymouth Hoe, Plymouth Pavilions and the Theatre Royal.
You can reach Plymouth from London by train in about 3 hours and it has international airports nearby as well as ferry links to France and Spain.
