Liverpool John Moores University is a big university with three campuses around Liverpool, namely the City Campus, the Mount Pleasant Campus and the I M Marsh Campus.

The City Campus is for students in the Faculty of Science, the Faculty of Technology and Environment and the Faculty of Health and Applied Social Sciences. The Mount Pleasant Campus is for students in the Faculty of Arts, Professional and Social Studies. The I M Marsh Campus is for students in the Faculty of Education, Community and Leisure.

The City of Liverpool

Liverpool is a city with stunning architecture - two magnificent Cathedrals stand out in its skyline.  From the Albert Dock UNESCO World Heritage Site to its Gregorian streets, the city has become one of the most filmed sites in the United Kingdom outside London.

Liverpool is also a city that adores art, music and football. Liverpool has more galleries and museums than any other city besides London. The city also plays host to Afica Oye, Europe’s largest African music festival. Last but not least, Liverpool houses two football clubs, namely Liverpool Football Club and Everton Football Club.

There are almost 50,000 students in Liverpool and Liverpool’s Chinatown is the oldest in Europe. Liverpool has shops ranging from small shops and designer stores to independent brands and high fashion outlets. Its new shopping mall, Liverpool ONE, is right at the heart of the city and has more than 160 renowned brands, from Apple to Topshop. There is also a growing number of restaurants and cafes to gratify every palate and budget.

Liverpool has a mainline railway station, Liverpool Lime Street, located at its city centre and the Liverpool John Lennon Airport provides transport to the rest of UK and Europe.

Liverpool John Moores University has also installed the virtual learning program Black board so that documents such as assignments, coursework and lecture notes will be readily available to its students. There is also professional screen reading software for students who have dyslexia.
