Institution Details

Description:
Queen Margaret University's new campus formally opened on 4th July 2008. More than 5,000 students and staff were moved to the new location, which is situated at Craighall, to the east of Edinburgh.
This immense £105 million project has produced a brand-new exciting campus, complete with 800-bed student accommodation. The campus' environmentally-friendly infrastructure has been designed to reduce the impact on the surrounding countryside. The campus is also enabled with up-to-date IT facilities, using thin-client technology.
The City of Edinburgh
The new campus is situated on the eastern outskirts of Edinburgh, just beside the seaside town of Musselburgh.
The campus is very easy to access by train, as it is next to Musselburgh Station. The rail service from Edinburgh Waverley to Musselburgh takes only six minutes.
Edinburgh blends inspiring ancient architecture with a lively modern atmosphere. It has many historical sites, with Edinburgh castle being the most popular.
Edinburgh has a lot to offer: libraries, galleries, museums, cinemas, shops, clubs, pubs, restaurants, concert venues, theatres, sports facilities and much more.
