The Diploma Pathway - Pathway to the 2nd year at Reputable Universities
What is Diploma-to-Degree Top-Up?
Many Diploma graduates undertake a Top-Up degree program overseas because the career prospects for a Degree graduate is much better than that of a Diploma graduate. Bachelor degree holders typically command a higher starting salary and better career advancement opportunities. The investment in a Top-Up degree will reap good returns in the long term. Over the years, we have helped many Diploma graduates fulfill their ambition overseas.
A Polytechnic Diploma is equivalent to a Higher National Diploma (HND) in the UK and credit exemptions may be awarded for entry to a undergraduate program.
A UK undergraduate degree typically takes 3 years (4 years for Scotland). Some UK Universities will grant a 1-year credit exemption (i.e. 2nd year entry) whilst others may consider you for final year entry. Typically, professional courses such as Engineering, Accountancy, Optometry, Architecture, etc will require you to spend 2 years to obtain a Bachelor degree if you have a relevant diploma.
